Boulder Falls was recently closed for a short period to make repairs on the climb’s staircase, which is now fixed. The work included adding additional stairs to the existing set, installing rails along the trail, and constructing a fence along the highway side of the trail.

This closure only lasted for around a month, compared to the nearly five-year shutdown that ended last year after the trail received damage from a flood in 2013.

Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks officials urge visitors to stay on the newly refurbished path while hiking in the area.
