What is the Caribou Ranch Artist-in-Residence Program?
This unique program invites artists of all disciplines—musicians, painters, writers, photographers, sculptors, filmmakers, and more—to pursue their creative passions amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Caribou Ranch. The program not only supports artistic exploration but also allows artists to share their work with the Boulder County community, enriching the appreciation of the region’s open spaces for future generations.
Caribou Ranch
Participants will stay in the historic DeLonde Barn, located on the Caribou Ranch property. Surrounded by serene streams, cascading waterfalls, dense forests, and picturesque vistas, this setting provides endless inspiration. Wildlife enthusiasts will also delight in the chance to encounter moose, elk, black bears, beavers, and a variety of birds, all of which call the area home. The property is steeped in history, including the Blue Bird Mine complex, a silver mining site from the late 1800s, and remnants of the Denver, Boulder & Western Railroad’s whistle stop.
