Boulder’ 1-13 sunrise was special. It was the anniversary of my late Dad’s birthday. He remains my greatest mentor. He was “father” to several of my friends, and a mentor to all of us. It is fitting that the sunrise was so special. He was an engineer, inventor, teacher, author, Silva instructor,  mathematician,  and much more. Our home growing up was  home to us and to our friends. Our basement was a shop, a chemistry lab, a pool table room,  a photo darkroom, and so much more. Whether he was found meditating under a pyramid or building yet another room onto the house, he never held still. How could we forget the “psychedelic room? That was complete with a color organ and a mirrored ball to assist us in reaching additional states of mind. Mom seemed to tolerate it all, and we never knew what was coming next.
