Meet James Scherrer of My Mom’s Pie!  He considers Boulder his hometown but is currently living in Gunbarrel. He is a fourth-generation Coloradan on his mom’s side and a sixth-generation on his dad’s!

“We use Great-Grandma Hazel’s recipes,” Scherrer says.

You can find My Mom’s Pie in Niwot, Colorado–just follow the mouth-watering smells and you will be there in no time!  Just make sure you know which of the 16 pies you want before you get there!

Not only does Scherrer make delicious pies, he is also a walking miracle.

“15 years ago I was in a car accident and told I would never walk again,” he says.  Scherrer proved the doctors wrong and has been up and on his feet walking for years. Amazing!
