Funk, Frogs, and Frights: Float Like a Buffalo to Headline Halloween Bash at Roots Music Project with MINKA and Toadstool

Boulder, CO – October 17, 2024 — Get ready to dance with the dead this Halloween as Denver’s funk-rock sensation Float Like a Buffalo returns to Roots Music Project in Boulder for an epic night of music on Thursday, October 31, 2024. The Halloween show will feature support from the theatrical rockers MINKA and psych-groove newcomers  – and Boulder locals  – Toadstool, promising a night of thrilling music, costumes, and unforgettable performances.

Float Like a Buffalo has left their mark on the Boulder scene with several high-energy shows, including a standout performance during Roots Music Project presents On the Rise, a summer concert series that highlighted rising bands in the region. This Halloween, they’re back to turn Roots Music Project into a haunted house of funk, bringing their unique mix of horns, heavy rhythms, and dynamic stage presence to Boulder’s music lovers. “Boulder has always been a special place for us to play,” says Lead Vocalist Cory Pearman. “There’s something magical about the energy here, and we’re excited to bring that same energy to Halloween night.”

Float Like a Buffalo will be joined by MINKA, known for their eclectic mix of rock and synth-pop, and Toadstool, who bring a more psychedelic twist to the evening. Together, these three bands will create a night where music, costumes, and creativity collide. Fans can expect everything from funky Halloween anthems to otherworldly jam sessions, as well as plenty of surprises along the way.

Fans are encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween best, with prizes for the most creative costumes. The show will also include a few spooky surprises to keep the Halloween spirit alive all night.
