WINTER STORM WARNING FOR BOULDER REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON MDT SUNDAY

What:

  • Heavy snow expected, especially later this afternoon and tonight.
  • Total snow accumulations between 6 and 14 inches.

Where:

  • The Northern Front Range Foothills
  • The Southern Front Range Foothills
  • Boulder and the western suburbs of Denver
  • Denver

When:

  • Until noon MDT Sunday.

Impacts:

  • Snow covered roads will make travel hazardous, and driving may become very difficult due to heavy snow, especially Saturday night.

Tips:

  • If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
  • The latest road conditions for Colorado can be obtained by calling 5 1 1 or by going to www.cotrip.org.
  • Persons should consider delaying all travel.
  • If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution.
  • Consider taking a winter storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains, booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets, and extra clothing.
  • Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help you survive in case you become stranded.
