The Best Place in Boulder to Watch the Sun Set

Like a classic “look-out point” Legion Park sits on a hill peering over Boulder, the Valmont Reservoir, and the foothills leading up to the Continental Divide. You can count on most every nice sunny day (which happens a lot in Boulder) that the parking lot at Legion Park, managed by Boulder County, will be almost full of cars. The park can be found right on Arapahoe, between 65th and 75th streets. A Short Cold Weather Hike in Boulder

  If you have time before work or maybe on the weekend this season you might choose to take a stroll, run, or ride on the Old Kiln trail in Boulder. These pictures were taken this past weekend, in pre-snow conditions.   Fourmile Creek Trailhead, managed by City of Boulder OSMP, is located in North Boulder on Lee Hill Dr near Broadway. Other than the Old Kiln trail, the trailhead supports the Foothills trail and is very close to Wonderland Lake.
