14% of Restaurants Across Colorado at Serious Risk of Closing

The Colorado Restaurant Association conducted a survey related to the impact of Coronavirus on local restaurants, and found that a staggering 14% responded that they are at serious risk of closing.

As the stay-at-home order drags on, restaurants are torn between trying to adapt to a contactless pickup and delivery scheme, and whether or not to keep their employees. No business owner wants to lay off staff, however in these times we are seeing an unprecedented level of furloughs and layoffs as businesses are doing whatever they can to stay alive.

Colorado has climbed the ranks into being one of the top food cities in the country, so this is a sad sign of the times for a blossoming foodie culture, but peoples health comes first and the stay-at-home order will hopefully be effective and we can get back to eating out soon enough!
