Boulder Camper and his Dog vs a Bear
Early Monday morning, a camper in Boulder came face to face with a bear tearing through his camp. After the bear threatened the camper and his dog, the man ended up shooting and killing the bear. The camper claims the bear lunched at his dog before he made the decision to shoot, so no charges will be filed as he acted in self defense.
It is important to stay vigilant when outdoors in Boulder, even with all of its expansion, it is still a meeting place between wilderness and civilization.
