Boulder Native Makes History – Becomes First Women to Complete El Capitan Golden Gate Route in Under 24 Hours
Emily Harrington, a Boulder native and professional climber has broken a record by becoming the first woman to free climb El Capitan’s Golden Gate route in under 24 hours. Additionally, is the only the 4th woman to complete any route in under a day.
In 21 hours and 13 seconds, Emily made history and achieved a dream — on her fourth attempt to climb the 3,200 feet monster.
