Everlasting Joy: Boulder’s Secret to Lasting Puppy Love and New Beginnings!
Lady And The Tramp Valentine’s Dinner
Lenny and Debi celebrated 38 years of Boulder marriage. All in Boulder of course 🙂
Their anniversary on 4/20 spawned a nationwide celebration of their marriage, although some claim that there is a cannabis connection. Lenny and Debi have shared their love and fascinations over the decades, sometimes together and other times as cheerleaders for each other.
Lenny has performed family weddings over the years, glowing in the love and joy of the new couples. One cousin was concerned. “You used all of your good stuff in Cousin Mark’s wedding! What’s left for us? Happily there is enough love to go around, and both of these couples and their children are a testament to the joys of courting and commitment.
Lenny’s favorite analogy for wedding ceremonies is the allegory of the pond. He tossed a rock into the lake behind where he was standing under the chupa. As the ripples spread in ever-expanding circles he explained that the love of a couple spreads like the ripples from the pebble hitting the pond. Love, like the ripples, spreads from the lovers outwards with the circles getting ever bigger as they ultimately expand to contain the universe.
On Valentine’s Day remember that the day is just a day, and most important is the reminder throughout the year that love matters, grows, and makes the universe a better place for all of us.
Doves set a great example by mating for life, a goal to which we aspire.
