Boulder Redux: Returning To Friendships

Rebuilding Community Bonds in Boulder: The Role of Friendship in 2025

Eastern Blue Jay, head cocked looking at photog
Hey there, Boulder peeps! It’s your old friend Lensworth, back with my camera in hand and a grin on my face, ready to ramble about something we all crave—friendship! After a spell away from these pages, I’m itching to reconnect with you all, and what better way than to muse about how we can rebuild those community ties right here in our beloved Boulder in this wild year of 2025?

The Comfort of Old Haunts
Walking back into Boulder feels like slipping on a favorite pair of worn-in hiking boots. The crunch of snow on Longs Peak trails, the herons at Wanaka Lake—they’re all still here, just like the faces I’ve missed. As a former judge turned snap-happy photographer, I’ve always found solace in these familiar spots. Returning reminds me how those old friendships, forged over legal debates or photo walks, are the heartbeat of this town. Let’s dust them off and get back to sharing a laugh over a craft beer!

Rekindling the Spark
You know, I fell hard for this place—and its people—back when I was knee-deep in cannabis law battles and snapping shots of the Continental Divide. That passion’s still burning! Friendship here isn’t just chit-chat; it’s hiking with a buddy, swapping stories about Eldora’s slopes, or debating the latest co-working trends. In 2025, with life moving faster than a fox darting through Chautauqua, let’s reignite that fire by reaching out to an old pal or welcoming a new face.

Rolling with the Changes

Sure, things have shifted—new tech, new folks, maybe even a new trail or two! I’ve had to brush up on my skills (those university lectures don’t teach themselves), but that’s the beauty of Boulder. Whether it’s adapting to virtual meetups or snapping pics with a fancier lens, I’m all in. Let’s lean on our shared history—my days with the Boulder Criminal Defense Bar or your own adventures—and turn these changes into chances to grow closer.

Lensworth’s Tips for Reconnection:

Reach Out: Drop a line to that old hiking buddy or AboutBoulder commenter—let’s break the ice!
Refresh the Lens: Join a photo walk or nature talk to meet fresh faces.
Set a Goal: Plan a group hike to Mount Sanitas or a picnic—something to aim for together.
Savor It: Take it slow, like a long exposure shot, and enjoy every moment of rebuilding.

Coming back to AboutBoulder feels like home, and I want to see us all thrive as friends in 2025. Let’s blend the best of our past—those stunning Boulder sunsets I’ve captured—with the promise of new memories. So, grab your cane (if you’re like me these days!) and let’s stroll into this friendship journey together—Boulder style!
