Boulder’s Roots Run Deep: Volunteer for Native Plants Garden Day

Calling all green thumbs and nature lovers! This Friday, Boulderites have a unique opportunity to get their hands dirty for a great cause during the Native Plants Garden Volunteer Day, taking place at 9 a.m. at the Boulder Public Library(1001 Arapahoe Ave.).

Led by local garden designer Aaron of Earth Love Gardens, this volunteer event invites participants to spend about three rewarding hours weeding, planting, and nurturing the library’s Native Plant Garden. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or a curious beginner, this is your chance to connect with community, cultivate local biodiversity, and learn about the vital role native plants play in sustaining Colorado’s ecosystem.

Native plants are not only beautiful—they’re also crucial to preserving pollinator populations, conserving water, and strengthening soil health. By volunteering, you’ll help ensure that Boulder’s public spaces remain both resilient and radiant, serving as living classrooms for residents of all ages.

To participate, registration through Give Pulse is required. You can find full details and sign up at calendar.boulderlibrary.org.

This is more than just a gardening day—it’s a way to invest in Boulder’s natural legacy and deepen your connection to the land. Be sure to bring water, gloves, and your community spirit!
