CU Boulder to Allow Students Back On Campus During First Half of Fall Semester

New guidelines are being put in place to allow CU Boulder students back on campus for the upcoming fall semester. Guidelines include mandatory safety training, mask-wearing requirements, smaller class sizes and the creation of small groups of on-campus students who will live, socialize and go to class together.

While in-person classes are scheduled to happen, they will halt after the university’s fall break. After Thanksgiving break, students will remain at home for the remainder of the school year and finish their semester online. This decision is aimed at preventing the spread of the virus as the university does not want students traveling then returning to classes.

The university said it will enhance its on-campus testing capability, create a campus response team to track, notify and isolate those exposed to the coronavirus and change the student code of conduct to include compliance with COVID-19 public health requirements and increased sanitation.
