As the winter recedes, Boulder’s locals and tourists can begin to see the city and surrounding area in a whole new light, almost literally. There are, of course, plenty of things to do in the winter, but when the spring hits, the pace of life picks up, and you can experience many of Boulder’s outdoor attractions.

Hike the Flatirons
The iconic Boulder rock formations need little introduction. Springtime offers a great opportunity to experience the Chautauqua Trail and Royal Arch Trail.
Pearl Street Mall
This pedestrian-friendly street is the jewel in Boulder’s shopping crown. On good days, you’ll see street performers and throngs of crows in the outdoor patios enjoying the sunshine.
Boulder Creek Path
A good spot to walk, bike, or jog, the scenic pathway is lined with trees and flowers starting to bloom in spring.
Flagstaff Mountain
Drive or hike to the summit for stunning views of Boulder Valley. Sunrise and sunset can be especially worth the trip up here.
Eldorado Canyon State Park
Spring is prime climbing season, and this park is a hotspot for rock climbers. If you don’t fancy spending all your time climbing, there’s a billion years of geology to admire.

Boulder Arts Week
Did you know that Boulder has the third-highest number of artists of any city in the United States? Celebrate their craft and the work of Boulder’s 140 art organizations with a brilliant festival taking place from April 4th-12th.
Tulip Fairy & Elf Festival
Held on Pearl Street in April, this family event features kids dressed as fairies and elves welcoming spring. It is a must-attend for anyone with little ones in the family.
