What’s Happening in Boulder 08/02-08/04

1. IRONMAN 70.3 Boulder

There’s no better place to race an IRONMAN than in Boulder, as you get constant views of the Flatirons, a pre-primed, flat bike course, and a dirt path that’s easy on the knees. If you’re not looking to race (or even if you are!) check out the IRONMAN Village preceding race day to interact with vendors, sponsors, and other athletes.

2. Boulder County Fair at Boulder County Fairgrounds

08/02-08/11

The oldest county fair in Colorado is celebrating its 150th year in 2019! Events include a carnival, concerts, vendors, crafts, livestock shows, 4-H competitions, rodeos and much more. Check out the itinerary here to start planning your trip.

3. Craft Distillery Festival at Boulder County Fairgrounds

5 pm-8 pm


Part of the Boulder County Fair includes the Craft Distillery Festival; participants can listen in on seminars such as the history of American whiskey with samples. Tickets are $20 and include 5 tastes, 1 cocktail, and 1 food truck meal.

4. FREE DAY at Museum of Boulder

08/04

10 am-5 pm

Come see everything the Museum of Boulder has to offer on their free day, including Boulder Experience Gallery (2nd Floor Gallery) showcasing the history of Boulder, and A-MAZE-D (lower level) featuring a giant cardboard maze for all ages, and Pack-It-Up (Main Gallery) to explore real stories of voyages from Boulder’s past and present.

5. Boulder Family Picnic at Foothills Community Park

6 pm-8 pm

The Israeli-American Council Colorado is sponsoring a family picnic this weekend to come together with old and new friends and share a meal, all while enjoying the last little bit of summer before school starts. The event will have a communal potluck dinner and music. Tickets start at $10 per family.
