‘Tis the Season – A Bronco Holiday Poem

December 19th, 2023

‘Twas the night before Christmas with stars in the heaven. The Broncos were hosting at seven and seven. There was Belichick, the Pats, but no longer Tom Brady. It was now Bailey Zappe, New England’s hopes were Slim Shady. But the Broncos this season were a bit of a mess. Scaring opponents but still scared of success. Who starts 1-5 and then goes 6-2? I now give you the All-Injury Team. Whether it’s the lack of conditioning due to COVID-19 restrictions, a lack of readiness due... Read More

May 1st, 2018

With all the speculation leading towards the Denver Broncos selecting a quarterback-of-the-future in this year’s NFL draft, gun-slinger John Elway failed to pull the trigger, but didn’t draw a blank.  After Cleveland continued its historic failure of drafting quarterbacks by selecting Oklahoma’s Baker Mayfield with the first overall pick, the Browns compounded their mistake by selecting Denzel Ward (CB/Florida State) providing the Broncos a gift of edge-rushing proportions. It’s possible that Elway had his eye on Mayfield or Sam Darnold (USC), but after both quarterbacks were taken off... Read More
