CU Events During the Last Week of Class

This week, being the last week of real class, there were lots of activities happening on campus. CU likes to give students options of things to do in between their studying and final projects as a way to destress. Starting on Tuesday, for those who love poker, there was a Texas Hold‘Em tournament. It was open to everyone and there were some great prizes to be won. On Wednesday, there were arts and crafts, games and a magic show held in the UMC. 20 Minutes of Action

Yesterday I attended an event on my campus called 20 Minutes of Action. This was in response to the comment that Brock Turner’s father had made about his son’s 6-month sentence in prison being a steep price for “20 minutes of action.” For those who are not familiar with Brock Turner’s case, he was a student athlete at Stanford who had raped an unconscious girl and basically got off scot free.
