“I felt like I should educate people about my country, culture and also help my community,” says Tenzin T. Passang.

Passang was born in India and immigrated to the United States in 1992. His parents, grandparents and thousands of Tibetans fled in 1959, with The Dalai Lama, to seek refuge from the Chinese illegal occupation of Tibet.

The Tibet Gallery was opened in 1998 and serves as a place for Passang to be an ambassador for his country while still feeling at home. “It is a precious community resource for practitioners,” Passang says.

“I love Boulder, with no attachment,” he says, “it is so beautiful here.”

So whether you want to experience Tibet, learn about great history or just be greeted with a warm welcome, stop by the Tibet Gallery and see Tenzin T. Passang!
