There’s something about live rock on a Sunday evening that lifts the spirit, and this week at Bricks on Main in Longmont was no exception. The room came alive as Dennis Wanebo and the Night Class Band took the stage with a song list that spanned generations—Beatles, Stones, Hollies, Springsteen, and more.

For two solid hours, the crowd was treated to the kind of performance that reminds you why music matters: it connects, it uplifts, and it makes you want to move.

The band was in fine form. Bill Brennan anchored the groove on drums and vocals, pairing seamlessly with Tom Lilenthal on bass to create a rock-solid bottom end. On lead guitar,  collaborator Bob Cannistraro. delivered his trademark brilliance, every solo landing with that perfect mix of precision and soul. Hopi Moore-Sargent rounded out the sound with layers of harmony—three and even four parts strong—that added a shimmer of magic to the evening.

And then there was the dance floor. Abbie, fan, friend, and longtime supporter of the band, brought her own energy to the night. A dancer and dance teacher with a smile that lights up the room, she had the crowd in motion and the musicians inspired. At one point, Beatles lyrics were even re-spun in her honor—a playful nod to her spirit and presence.
