Don’t be afraid to venture down to Denver for the Higher Ground Music Fest.

Both indoor and outdoor stages will be featuring over local musical acts and performers. This will be a good old fashioned street festival complete with food and merchandise vendors. Majority of music will be of the Indie Rock genre but various styles will also be on hand!

Summer is coming to an end so do not miss out on the Boulder Craft Beer Festival.

This tasting festival will be a conglomerate of all of Boulder‘s breweries—samples will abound! Food will be available for purchase and there will also be some live music on hand to enjoy.

Time: 1pm

Cost: $30 for advance tickets; $10 for Designated Driver advance tickets

Sunday, August 23

Spend part of your weekend giving back at the Veteran’s Helping Veterans Now Summer Social.

VHVN is a Longmont-based non-profit that provides services to local veterans and will be hosting this free BBQ, complete with a water balloon fight scheduled for 3pm.

Time: 12-5pm

Cost: Free

Location: Thompson Park, Longmont.

Take in the breathtaking views of Estes Park as you make your way to the Music in the Mountains Concert Series being hosted by the Rocky Ridge Music Center.

The faculty of the center will be featuring their hand picked favorites for this seasonal event. Tickets are available for purchase at http://www.rockyridge.org, 970-586-4031, or at the door.
