Stout Season Continues at Boulder Beer Co.

Are you looking for something fun to do tonight? Are you excited about all the new stouts this month? Do you love special, limited release craft beer? Are you feeling lucky? If you answered “yes” to any or all of those questions, I’ve got excellent news. In case you missed the West Flanders release party for Infinite Velocity, you’ll be excited to hear that Boulder Beer Company is hosting a release party for their Irish Blessing stout tonight! The event will be held from 4-10 PM and promises to be an entertaining evening, complete with an Irish-themed jokes and toasts competition.

Irish Blessing is an Oak-Aged Coffee Stout, brewed with the OZO coffee blend from OZO Coffee Company in Boulder and then aged in Jameson Irish Whiskey soaked oak barrels to give it a taste of whiskey and wood. Boulder Beer Co. tempts us with the promise of a bittersweet chocolate finish from the black and chocolate malts they used in brewing. Coming in with an IBU of 40, 6.8% ABV, and the potential for a CO2 or nitro draft, it’s shaping up to be quite a treat. Coffee, chocolate, whiskey, and oak, all brought together in a stout? I’m sold!

Gearing up for St. Patty’s Day in exactly one month, dinner specials tonight on the pub menu are appropriately Irish: Corned Beef Reuben Sliders and Logan’s Shepherd’s Pie. It’s another beautiful, warm February Friday so go ahead, leave work a little early for a hike around Chautauqua followed by an Irish Blessing and Reuben Sliders at Boulder Beer Co. to start off your weekend. In fact, I may just take my own advice on this one. See you out there!

Cheers!
