Vail Resorts Sued for Canceled Season

Vail Resorts is being sued by at least one Epic Pass holder for a refund due to the Coronavirus closures. Obviously these circumstances are completely out of Vail Resorts, or that of any competing mountain operators, but with pass prices often over $1000, its not surprising that there will be legal battles over who ‘holds the bag.’

With thousands of employees laid off and a billion dollar hit to the industry, its is to be seen what cascading impacts this will have on ski resorts around the world. Due to this, Alterra Mountain Group is offering people who purchase a pass next year to allow that to carry over until the following year if the ski season can not happen.
