Boulder is nestled in the Rockies, and is surrounded by our neighboring ski areas. Within 2 hours lie some of the finest skiing in the world. And, the good news!  Spring Skiing in Colorado is Spring Magic! While the snow can be getting rather sparse, and the rocks and mud can make an appearance, the high mountain blue skies and sun make up for it. “Rock Skies” are called for, as is sunscreen. Spring Skiing Will Be Here Sooner Than You Think! One of my brother’s coping methods for the first big snows or big chills is to remind us that Spring Skiing is almost upon us. My personal... Read More

Fabulous Friday Finally Arrives in Boulder. Festivities and Family Await!

March 1st, 2024

Cool! Ongoing Boulder Success!  We made it, and we succeeded! Were my true feelings to be expressed, I’d have way too many exclamation points in the punctuation. After almost 50 years of legal writing with perhaps not a single “!!!” or even a simple “!”  Using bold was a bold move. Italics were ok if used properly.   We motivated on Monday, kicked it on Tuesday, humped it on Wednesday,  and defined Thursday. we find ourselves having, once again, made it to another Friday. If that is not cause for a weekly celebration, I don’t know what is. I realize... Read More

Monet-Inspired Sunset at Boulder’s Waneka Lake Featuring Pintail Ducks

February 24th, 2024

Whether a photograph, a painting, or art created by other means and media, Boulder astounds as inspiration and as a subject for any media, anytime. Sunset is a sure thing! While this particular rendering is inspired by Claude Monet, I chose to not try to make it more like a Monet. I am unable to visualize it being improved without deleting it and starting fresh.  Monet favored using pure colors right out of the tube. While I share that paint preference, any similarity in our work ends there! As if I even had to say that <G> Regardless of the Monet style which I think was not particularly... Read More

Many think, even in Boulder, that once a person is suspected of a crime, guilty or not, they may be arrested and then must bond out.
