The Cool Factor: Riffs Urban Fare on Pearl Street Mall

April 12th, 2017

Riffs Urban Fare in three words: trendy, whimsical, exquisite. I love this contemporary cocktail lounge so much; I dare say they serve the most innovative, creative meals in all of Pearl Street Mall. Need more convincing? Here are some of the amazing features this eatery offers: The Ambience Riffs Urban Fare’s cocktail lounge setting is two parts cool, one part whimsy. The contemporary interior is balanced with quirky wall fixtures, like the framed jigsaw puzzles or blush colored moutainscape painting that engages the expanse of the wall behind the bar. In size, the restaurant is modest, containing... Read More

Events to treat all senses

March 5th, 2017

Here I am again with so much to say about these under advertised events that I just want to get straight into them.  I will say this, though: This month’s events are a treat for all senses.  Come see what I mean.   Throughout the entire month of March the Boulder Dinner Theater is putting on their performance of Disenchanted.  This comedic parody of classic fairytales turns all the classic tropes about princess we know on their heads.  This musical features all the Disney princesses becoming fed up with how they’re being presented in today’s media and join together to reclaim their... Read More

Top 3 Highest Rated Boulder Restaurants

February 3rd, 2017

In Boulder, good food is always within arms reach. The Boulder County Farmers Market is among the best in the nation, offering locally grown vegetables, fruits, cheeses, and wine to the city’s farm to table restaurants. This, in combination with Boulder’s proclivity towards environmentalism and health, creates a demand for fresh yet tasty meals at the city’s restaurants, with non-GMO, gluten free, and vegan options for the health conscientious. With nearly 600 restaurants to choose from in Boulder, it’s hard to narrow down which eateries yield the best food and flavor. To help you decide,... Read More

A Trip to the Boulder County Farmers’ Market

September 1st, 2013

On Wednesday, August 28, I decided to get out of the house and stroll over to the Boulder Farmers’ Market for a real “only in Boulder” experience, and I’m happy to say that I got what I came for. I arrived at the market at around 5:30 p.m and found the place crawling with people. All walks of life were present here, ranging from old dreadlocked hippies to young dreadlocked hippies. There were also plenty of families with young children, students, and a handful of colorful characters, including a man in a superhero costume and a man in a tie-dye jumpsuit making balloon animals.... Read More
