FLASHBACK: A Side of History With Your Sink Burger

November 29th, 2022

If there is one restaurant that should be written about in AboutBoulder.com, it should be The Sink, and mainly because of its sheer celebrity in the Boulder community. Located on The Hill, it’s been a Boulder staple for over 90 years. It’s changed names a and owners a handful of times but in 1989 returned (permanently) to it’s roots. Known for its beatnik murals and colorful decor, The Sink was home to Buffs like Robert Redford (legend has it he slept in one of the booths after working his janitor shifts), and being the hub for the hippie culture in the 70s.  You probably already know that... Read More

Strong Island Ice Tea – Just like a long island iced tea, but stronger and even BETTER. Some people refer to this one as a “strongo”... Read More

That being said, it’s safe to say that we also take hour happy hour scene very seriously as well.  Sushi lovers across Boulder have no doubt found themselves at Hapa Sushi from one time or another, enjoying their excellent happy hour! The popular Pearl St. spot is usually packed with families, students, and celebrities (hello, One Direction!) alike, all eager to grub down on the unique spin on traditional... Read More

Fall Weather Home Cookin.

October 2nd, 2014

October is definitely my favorite month. It’s not my birthday month, nor has any noteworthy life event happened to me during the pre-Halloween season, but I just love it! I love how it makes me feel. Everything is cozier, sweeter and comforting. As the days get cooler and nights grow longer, I wave goodbye to roof top drinks and backyard grilling. I turn to one of my favorite cooking methods: the crockpot. I all but forget I own multiple slow cookers/crock pots between April-August but once September hits, I use any excuse to use it? Oh, it drizzled this morning? Crock pot. Oh, you feel... Read More
