A woman was running with her dog in Nederland recently when a mountain lion attacked and severely injured the animal, which is now being treated at home. According to an account of the attack on a GoFundMe campaign set up to help owner Sarah Jane Romano pay her veterinarian bills, the dog, a pit bull named Talia, suffered a skull fracture and puncture wounds on her head and neck. In the last few weeks, there have been a lot of mountain lion sightings in and near Boulder. This was the most recent sighting. It was reported on February 27th near 23rd Street and Panorama Avenue, in Boulder, Colorado. Parks and Wildlife (CPW) says wildlife officers found a mountain lion under a porch in Boulder. They moved and took away the animal. People at the house near 23rd Street and Panorama Avenue said that the mountain lion was under the porch. Mountain Lion Found Napping Under SUV in Garage in Longmont

Wildlife officials have relocated a mountain lion that snuck into a garage in Longmont and fell asleep under an SUV. The animals was tranquilized in the garage, then released in the Arapaho National Forest. Mountain lion sightings are usually more common in Boulder, Niwot and Lyons, just west of Longmont, however mountain lions are known to utilize urban areas for food, including livestock and domestic pets.
