[VIDEO] Mountain Lions Spotted in Snow in Boulder

Mountain lions and other wild animals have been making appearances throughout the country as there has been less human activity due to coronavirus limitations. This has especially been seen in Boulder, where mountain lions have been trekking into people’s backyards. This week, two lions were caught on camera in the snow near the center of the city. Mountain Lion Caught Napping in Backyard Tree in Boulder

Colorado Parks and Wildlife were called earlier today because of a report of a mountain lion sitting in a tree in a neighborhood backyard. Because the cat was not exhibiting any abnormal behavior or aggression officials decided to let it come down from the tree on its own and return to the wild — after its cat nap. Officials think it’s likely the animals was pursuing something such as a racoon or a skunk and ended up in human territory to take a nap and did not pose a threat to the community. Mountain Lion Caught on Camera in Boulder on Christmas Eve

A mountain lion was recently seen in a Boulder neighborhood, meandering through people’s yards. The footage was caught on camera on somebody’s doorbell app. According to Colorado Parks and Wildlife, there have been more spottings of mountain lions in suburban areas this year, though the threat of attack is low.      Read More

8-Year-Old Recovering After Fighting Off Mountain Lion With Stick

Pike Carlson, an 8-year-old Colorado boy, was caught in a dangerous situation last month when heading to a neighbors house when a 65 pound mountain lion suddenly pounced on him and began mauling him. “I was just punching, trying to grab anything that I can, like a stick,” Pike told KUSA-TV. “I did find a stick and I tried to get it in the eye, but soon the stick snapped.” The boy’s father saw the attack and immediately rushed to his side even though he only had a pocket knife with him.
