CU Events During the Last Week of Class
This week, being the last week of real class, there were lots of activities happening on campus. CU likes to give students options of things to do in between their studying and final projects as a way to destress.
Starting on Tuesday, for those who love poker, there was a Texas Hold‘Em tournament. It was open to everyone and there were some great prizes to be won. On Wednesday, there were arts and crafts, games and a magic show held in the UMC. It was advertised as “Fun before finals” for a good reason. On Thursday, there was a Grad Bash, which I actually went to, and it was oodles of fun. There was a DJ, free drinks and food and it was probably one of the last times I would see certain people, which was bitter sweet. Thursday night, there was an early 2000’s dance party put on by the Fox Theater. It was free for ladies and $5 for guys 21 and over. I can’t tell you how much fun it was dancing to songs that I grew up listening to, especially early Britney Spears songs.
Something to look forward to on Monday the 8th is late night breakfast held at the UMC from 10pm-11pm. What a perfect way to take a break from studying by filling a plate full of delicious breakfast food! I hope everyone enjoyed their last week of class, and good luck with finals!
