Ryan Petry is a local triathlete and mountain bike racer. He graduated from Arizona State University in 2014 and moved to Boulder to pursue his career as an athlete. Ryan loves everything about Boulder and knows the in's and out's of the local triathlon community. Often training with world champions and up and coming superstars Ryan can give an inside look into the life of the pros, as well as the resources in Boulder that will help any athlete achieve their goals.
2014 is Ryan's first year racing as a pro and he has already gotten some impressive results. With a focus on XTERRA triathlon's, he finished 6th at the West Championship in Vegas, and 4th at the Mountain Championship in Beaver Creek. He also raced the famous Leadville 100 mountain bike race and finished 11th with a time of 7 hours and 5 minutes.
Outside of racing Ryan tries to live the life of a typical 23 year old. He enjoys going out with friends, meeting new people, and sleeping in.
