Humans have always had a complicated relationship with weather. Ancient cultures prayed and made offerings to gods in hopes of receiving conditions conducive to growing crops. Adverse weather, then, was often interpreted as displeasure on behalf of those same beings—a punishment for failing to observe proper rituals. While he found this to be true, he also found that there is a level of pretentiousness that comes with the amount of money some people have here. Keith was worried that hiking mountains that are already a mile high would prove to be difficult. David had been writing songs since he was a kid, but of course, as life got busy, that passion got set on a shelf. When he found himself with more time on his hands after losing hours at work, he picked it up again. He learned guitar and loves it all over again. He also started traveling across the country. He’s originally from California, but he’s travelled all across the West Coast and into Mexico. But he came to Boulder because of the scenery and people. He dreams of traveling all over the world, but right now, Colorado is still his favorite spot so far.

Hi there! I’m Maliika! I’m a Denver transplant. My mom brought me from very far away. I’m not sure where here is but I like it so far. Snow is fun. There’s so many trails that are good for a dog like me. It was scary coming here though. I had to spend the night at an airport somewhere. It was very strange and lonely. But Mom made sure that I was ok, and now we’re here and it’s great. My favorite thing is anything that I can go chase. Currently pine cones are extra fun. I’ll chase one for hours if you keep throwing it for me. You are going to throw it for me right?
