“A musician, a poet, and a young man searching for his life.” To escape the “Meth heads and Mormons” of Missouri, Pier came to Boulder in search of fabled beautiful scenery and a lot of enlightened people. While he found this to be true, he also found that there is a level of pretentiousness that comes with the amount of money some people have here. There’s a huge focus on arts in Boulder that he falls right into. He primarily plays guitar, but is the master of all things strung, like the ukulele and bass. But he’s a “lyricist above all else”. He’s always had an affinity for writing, and sat down to write some of his experiences. He just finished writing his first album. He has titled it Lucille, after the girl who broke his heart two months ago. Until his album hits shelves, you can find him singing along Pearl Street.

Photography isn’t just about capturing a moment; it’s about capturing personality and a story. After graduating from University of Denver with a criminology degree, Stephanie Tyson wasn’t a hundred percent sure what she wanted to do. A summer spent photographing the zipline at the Colorado Adventure Center in Idaho Springs, decided her passion for photography can’t be ignored for the “practical” approach of a life in the office. Born and raised in Colorado, she is no stranger to the beauty that this state has, both in landscape and in people. Her heart lies with the ocean, and when she gets the chance, you can find her sitting on the shore line shooting surfers all day. During the summer, there’s a good chance she’s exploring or hanging out on the fence line at a rodeo with her camera. All other times, you can find her in Starbucks, curled up with her cat, or at the archery range.
