Meet John!  Born and raised in Denver, John is just about as Colorado as it gets!  He has worked as a library technician at the University of Colorado Boulder for 21 years.  He says that the University is his favorite part of Boulder. “Macbeth’s atmosphere puts it high up on the list,” he says when talking about his favorite book. “Colorado encourages individualism in solitude,” John says. Lucien Renjilian-Burgy has been illuminating Boulder with his bright smile since 2005. “Biking, climbing, dancing…I do a lot,” says Lucien. While running his own somatic psychotherapy and bodywork practice, Shifting States, Lucien also manages to make time for his passion of dance as a member of the Boulder Contact Lab. “It’s a type of improv partner dancing where there is always one point of contact between the two dancers,” Lucien explains. When Michelle Theall was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2003, she wondered if she would still be able to do the things that she loved.  Well, after years of running, Theall has pushed those doubts to the side.  After competing in collegiate athletics at Texas Tech, her strong suit being the 800 meters, Theall has a passion for running that is contagious. The food, open space and various outdoor opportunities are just a few of the reasons why Sliker loves Boulder!  He has his Bachelors, Masters and PhD in Mechanical Engineering and is now hoping to become a college instructor. Meet Rachel Walker!  Walker grew up in Colorado Springs, went to college in Vermont, and is now back in Boulder. Her freelance and journalism work has been published in numerous magazines and newspapers across the nation! Meet Andie Doak!  She is a (get ready) third-year molecular, cellular and developmental biology major and philosophy minor (phew!) at the University of Colorado Boulder.  Doak was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. “Boulder is close to the mountains yet still very much a city.  That is hard to find,” Doak says. Meet Rockies and fantasy baseball fan, Brian Morton! Representing for the big opener in Denver today, Morton is ready to watch a great game. “I’m looking forward to the Rockies still being awesome,” he says, confident that the Cubs will go down tonight at Coors Field. Morton, a philosophy and math double major at CU, has lived in the Louisville and Boulder area his entire life. “Boulder is the San Francisco of the mountain west,” Morton says, “It has grown a ton, but the culture hasn’t changed at all.” So what do you say? Taking a break in the shade with his buddies by the Boulder Creek, Tony Masar loves this beautiful spring weather. Masar is an Erie native who works and spends his weekends here in Boulder.
