Meet Jerica!  She was born and raised in Colorado and is currently a Sophomore Journalism major at University of Colorado Boulder. “Growing up with five older brothers was awesome because it made me tough and gave me a lot of confidence.” “I loved traveling and watching them play sports; those were some of my favorite memories.  One of the memories that stands out is when my oldest brother took the high school baseball team to state for the first time in school history.  It was extra special because two of my older brothers were on the team, so it was a pretty proud moment... Read More

“We would wake up at 3:50 am, meditate for two hours, perform morning chants and have a silent breakfast. There would be silence until 2:00 pm, followed by another work period, where I usually did lawn work, then a silent dinner and another meditation practice.” Meet Andrew Bryson! How could they!? “I have never been a skier, which is shocking to other people since I am a native and it kind of comes along with the territory,” Charlotte says, “but there are so many other options like hiking in the mountains and paddle boarding or running outside. Boulder is a place for everyone to enjoy the outdoors!” Moral of the story: if you are not... Read More

He covered the 2014 elections last year. “I got to meet quite a few people, which is cool for someone nerdy about politics, like me!” One of those interviews, Gesing said, was with Mark Udall. “I felt like I should educate people about my country, culture and also help my community,” says Tenzin T. Passang. Passang was born in India and immigrated to the United States in 1992. His parents, grandparents and thousands of Tibetans fled in 1959, with The Dalai Lama, to seek refuge from the Chinese illegal occupation of Tibet. The Tibet Gallery was opened in 1998 and serves as a place for Passang to be an ambassador for his country while still feeling at home. “It is a precious community resource for practitioners,” Passang says. “I love Boulder, with no attachment,” he says,... Read More
