AboutBoulder – Summer 2017 Update

AboutBoulder.com has now been online for over three years, and our team is not only proud of the
work we’ve done so far, but we are also excited for what is to come. First and foremost, we would
like to thank all of our readers for the unparalleled support and loyalty that has helped
AboutBoulder.com thrive in the way that it has. AboutBoulder.com is, and has always been, the
one-stop, go-to website for everything you need to know about visiting, living, working, and playing in
Boulder County. Thanks to our viewership, we’ve had over 300,000 page visits since the beginning
of 2017. We’ve accumulated over 5,700 likes on Facebook and over 1,300 followers on Instagram.
None of this could have been done without the faithfulness of our readers, so for that, we thank you
deeply.

AboutBoulder.com’s many columns and features continue to grow and expand due to the intelligent,
hardworking team that comprises AboutBoulder.com. Over twenty columnists and six
photojournalists work diligently to provide our readers with entertaining, original content on a daily
basis. In the past year, one of AboutBoulder.com’s biggest goals was to bring new readers to our
site through social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. According to our
Instagram analytics, we reach over 50 unique viewers every week, and that number is only growing.
Above all, our team is dedicated to providing Boulder County with the most informative, beneficial
information regarding our beautiful community.

We are proud to have partnered with both B-Cycle and eGo CarShare for a few years now, in an
effort to help Boulder stay eco-friendly. You can rent one of our AboutBoulder bicycles from one of
the 30+ bike stations around town, or head over to McGuckin hardware to drive the AboutBoulder
F150 Truck. Our partners do a tremendous job and we are thankful to be able to work with them.

Our famous “Boulder Giving” program has only continued to grow since it’s launch. Boulder Giving is
our way of giving back to the community by donating 10% of revenue we receive from advertisers to
the charity of their choosing. By providing this service to the community we are able to keep
Boulder’s people, environment, and even wildlife happy and healthy. Without those things, Boulder
wouldn’t at all be the city it is today. You can read about this program more at
https://aboutboulder.com/giving/ .

Another exciting announcement for AboutBoulder.com is the recent launch of our partner site,
OnDenver.com. OnDenver is an all-inclusive resource for both residents and visitors of the Denver
area. Much like AboutBoulder, OnDenver has a substantial amount of content, as well as a
hardworking team that focuses on that same “Visit, Live, Work, Play” motto. OnDenver also has introduced its very own version of “Boulder Giving”, similarly titled “Denver Giving”, which is a
program that benefits the Denver community as a whole by donating 10% of all advertising revenue
as well. We have already seen impressive site traffic since the site’s launch just over two months
ago, and we hope that OnDenver will soon reach the same kind of loyal readership that
AboutBoulder has achieved.

Moving forward, AboutBoulder.com hopes to continue the momentum we’ve had in the past, and
grow at the same rate that the city of Boulder has been growing! Our “Faces of Boulder”, “CU Buff
Stuff” and “Leaf of the Week” columns have grown in readership and in content, and our writers are
proud of the feedback they’ve received. We have seen tremendous growth in our social media, and
if you are not already following us, check us out at @AboutBoulder on Facebook, Instagram, and
Twitter. Our love of Boulder and it’s unique culture keeps this website alive, and we have no doubt
that AboutBoulder.com will continue to develop for years to come.

Erwin is raised and grown locally in Boulder. Born to be an adventurer, Erwin joined the Boy Scouts of America at the age of 12, conquered the frozen icebergs of Alaska and the narrow canyons of Utah, finally achieving the rank of Eagle Scout three days before his eighteenth birthday. Now a fourth year student double majoring in Economics and Philosophy at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Erwin is still excited to experience the wonders of life both physically and spiritually. Erwin is interested to pursue a career in digital marketing and HR after his graduation in December, hoping one day to change the world for the better with the knowledge he obtained through his experiences. With a passion to learn, Erwin obtained “Inbound Marketing” certificate from HubSpot Academy, as well as learned computer languages like R, HTML, Javascript on his own. During his off time, you can bet Erwin will be reading his favorite philosophy books like “The Works of Aristotle” at Alley Cat cafe or grabbing an ice cold beer with friends at the Mayor of Old Town in Fort Collins.
