The OUR Center of Longmont

The OUR Center, one of Boulder County’s leading providers of services to people in need, recently opened a new program services and administration center at 220 Collyer Street, Longmont. The center was made possible by a intensive multi-year community-driven $4.7m capital campaign that is 95% complete. The new facility is intended to meet the projected needs of the community for the next 25 years. The new center was recently celebrated with two open houses that together attracted over 500 people. There were 2,007 non-profit organizations in Boulder County in 2015. Of these, 75% had annual revenues of less than $100,000. Just over 6% had revenues over $1 million These details, which are presented in the publication “Our Civic Participation & Giving” published by the Community Foundation Serving Boulder County, is based on data from Guidestar and the Internal Revenue Service. Hispanic Education Foundation – Providing Educational Opportunity

The Hispanic Education Foundation (HEF) is an educational non-profit organization with a single mission: To provide scholarships to completing graduates of the St. Vrain Valley School District (SVVSD) in Boulder County who plan on attending an accredited institution for post-secondary education. The institutions may include a two- or four-year college or a vocational school. The Foundation was created in 1989. In the intervening years a total of 530 scholarships have been awarded, including 84 between 2014 and 2016. The total value of scholarships awarded is more than $400,000. At The Inn Between of Longmont it only costs $2,717 per individual to be housed and provided a pathway out of homelessness. The Inn Between of Longmont is a supportive housing program that provides 72 units of supportive housing, case management and life-skills training to enhance the quality of life for homeless families and individuals.
