Dr. Bray, a respected name in the fields of Complementary and Integrative Health Research, Integrative Nutrition, Health, and Wellness Coaching, is no stranger to the academic and practical aspects of health and wellness.

Dr. Bray’s journey in academia and research is a tale of relentless pursuit of knowledge and a deep commitment to health and wellness. A proud alumnus of St. Olaf College, she graduated with a B.A. in Psychology, where she honed her skills in media studies and research. Her interest in the dissemination of information led her to pursue a Certificate in Publishing from Denver University Publishing Institute. This early inclination towards sharing knowledge and information set the stage for her future endeavors.

The pursuit of higher education took Dr. Bray to the Sanford School of Medicine at the University of South Dakota, where she specialized in Neuroscience, earning her Ph.D. in Basic Biomedical Sciences. Her impressive GPA of 3.98 is a testament to her academic rigor and dedication. During her doctoral studies, she delved deep into the neurobiology of stress, contributing significantly to our understanding of this complex field through her work in Dr. Gina Forster’s Stress Neurobiology Laboratory.

Her post-doctoral journey at the National Institute of Health (NIH) and National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM)/Helfgott Research Institute was equally impactful. Focused on Complementary & Integrative Health and Human Subjects Research, Dr. Bray’s work has significantly contributed to the field, especially in understanding binge eating disorder and its treatment.

In her professional sphere, Dr. Bray has worn many hats – from an Associate Adjunct Professor at Naropa University to a Health, Wellness, & Nutrition Coach under her own brand. Her work as a Regulatory Writer for medical devices and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow showcases her versatility and depth of knowledge. Her involvement in various research projects and publications speaks volumes about her expertise and her contribution to the field of health and wellness.
