Janelle Iglesias will present a lecture on art at CU from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. She will discuss how people consistently collect and throw materials away. She believes these items that some people may view as trash can actually be turned into art and something beautiful. She uses materials, such as driftwood, Styrofoam, or glass.

Paper: it seems to be bland and boring, yet so much can be done with it. You can create a homemade card, you can color, draw, print, fold, etc. At the Meadows Branch Library in the George Reynolds Branch at 1 p.m. there is an origami workshop for ages 10 and older. Get your paper ready, and create something special to you origami style.

Do your kids ever wonder how superheroes have their powers? Lucky for you, you don’t have to answer that question. Bring your kids, ages 8 to 10, to Superhero Science at the Boulder Public Library at 1 p.m. Flight, speed, super strength, and even x-ray vision will be put to the test. This gives kids a chance to discover, design, explore, and work with local science organizations.
