“Boulder’s Buddies: Top Tail-Waggers in Town”

The popularity of dog breeds can vary from year to year, but as of my last update in April 2023, the following were generally considered the most popular dog breeds in the United States:

Most Popular Breeds

  1. Labrador Retriever animals, puppy, canine
  2. French Bulldog dog, pet, nature
  3. German Shepherd Close up of Dog Head
  4. Golden Retriever golden retriever, puppy, dog
  5. Bulldog

For Colorado specifically, the preferences might differ slightly from the national trends due to factors like climate, outdoor activities, and urban vs. rural living.  Labrador Retrievers and Golden Retrievers are often popular in states with outdoor lifestyles like Colorado, due to their adaptability and active nature. Smaller breeds like the French Bulldog might also be popular in more urban areas.
