While some Boulder locals were outside combating the cold this weekend, this former Connecticut native stayed cozy inside with her pup and worked on her painting. Maddie moved to Boulder a little over two years ago and fell in love with the area. She is currently working full-time in Louisville, but outside of work you can find her at a local concert or snuggling up with her dog, Mayleigh, and painting. “Living in Boulder has inspired over 20 paintings and induces the need to pour out what I see on a canvas, ” she says. “I paint so I can play with colors. It’s my form of mediation. I started to paint back in college for the purpose of holiday gifts, but the need to express myself with colors outgrew itself into a roaring hobby.”
