The Humane Society of Boulder Valley and Flatirons Subaru Present the Virtual Puttin’ on the Leash BARK DECO, an Online Auction and Benefit raising money to create a more humane society.

Flexing their nimble, adaptive nature, the Humane Society of Boulder Valley has shifted their yearly benefit to a virtual event streaming live on July 18th at 6pm! Registration is free and open now. CLICK HERE!

About the Event:

The Barking ’20s are going virtual! The online auction is from July 6th – 18th followed by the Livestream program on Saturday, July 18th starting at 6pm. By registering FREE at this link, you will receive a text message providing instructions and access to the auction items!

Superior Liquor is hosting the Barkeasy Hour starting at 5pm on July 18th for those looking to start early! The Barkeasy Boxes cost $75 each ($50 to reserve and $25 due at pickup) – and provide a great way to enjoy the auction with a cold drink while you bid with your phone.

Barkeasy Boxes can be picked up at Superior Liquor on the 16th and 17th from 12-4pm

Some additional options to help support the event are to:

  • Name a shelter pet
  • Play Heads or Tails with a $50 entry fee for the chance to win a trip to Barbados (registration up to July 15th – entry forms must be submitted by midnight on the 16th)

A big thank you to Don Martin for MCing the event!

Why The Humane Society of Boulder Valley is About Much More than Adoptions:

The HSBV Mission is to protect and enhance the lives of companion animals by promoting healthy relationships between pets and people. HSBV works to meet this commitment by:

  • Striving to be the primary community resource for support, education and information on animal welfare issues.
  • Providing services that include: behavior and training, veterinary care, safety net programs and adoption/lost and found/pet relinquishment.
  • Delivering Safety Net Programs that currently include:
    • Partnerships with Health and Human Services (EFAA, SPAN, …)
    • Interim pet boarding, subsidized/discounted veterinary and behavior and training support
    • Complimentary pet food and supplies
    • Waived adoption fees
    • Senior’s pet care program
    • COVID pet care (take, foster, vaccinate if needed, until you are back on your feet) and other “say yes” services, like grooming access, pet walking and pet transportation.
  • Offering virtual adoptions, virtual training and socially distanced training.
  • Being nimble to adapt to meet the changing needs of our community.
