Otto is not the ordinary perfect pet even by Boulder standards. His history is one of good fortune and caring people. With all of our chat about hybrids lately it amused me greatly that Otto IS a hybrid coyote and probably dog. He is a rescue with a tail tale of travel.

Rescued By A Puppy Rescue Outfit, Otto and Mom Reba Were Saved.

The pups were born in an Oklahoma Motel. Upon returning to Arkansas, the pups were put in groups of two or three and shipped around the country including Colorado. His Dad found him in Colorado with his sister in a foster home in Westminster. This a tale of successful teamwork and of a love of animals. Lucky Otto!

His Dad says he’s one of a litter of 10. He has the coyote spindly legs and the size of a hybrid. I estimate 40 pounds of muscle. He’s calm, and does not bark at strangers. He seems above it all.
