Back in October, Boulder endured its worst flood in recent memory. It was truly tragic, and many people living in the Boulder County area were left devastated. Despite this, the community was still strong. People dropped everything to go help their friends clear water out of flooded houses. Volunteers continued to rebuild Boulder, even months after the floods swept through the front range area. Even at its worst, Boulder County still remains to be strong. The people throughout Boulder County continue to “pay it forward” on a day-to-day basis, and here at AboutBoulder.com, we also want to contribute to this pay-it-forward mentality.

During the flood, we offered free advertising to the businesses of Lyons in order to help them get through difficult times. We also donate 10% of all advertising proceeds to a charity of the advertiser’s choice, so even our advertisers pay-it-forward! Here at AboutBoulder.com, we want to continue giving back to the amazing residents of Boulder County. In honor of this, we’ve teamed up with Boulder B-Cycle and we’re giving away an annual Boulder B-Cycle pass to one lucky winner. There’s just one catch: You have to find the right bike.

There are ten B-Cycles scattered throughout Boulder with the AboutBoulder.com logo on them. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find one of the B-Cycles with AboutBoulder.com‘s logo on the basket. When you find a winning bicycle, take a picture with it and email the picture to david@aboutboulder.com. The first person to send an email with one of the winning bikes will win an annual Boulder B-Cycle pass.

What does this annual pass entail, you ask? Well, it gives you access to use the B-Cycles, 24/7, all year! You can take as many trips as you like, and as long as you keep each trip under 30 minutes, you won’t pay a dime. Usage fees of $3 per half hour apply to all trips over 30 minutes. If you find the winning bike and don’t feel the need to use the pass, however, you can simply pay-it-forward and give it to someone else! That’s what “paying it forward” is all about, anyway- it’s about doing something nice for somebody. So, even if you don’t need the subscription, you can surely find someone who does. And what better way to put a smile on their face than to give them an annual Boulder B-Cycle pass?

Anyway, you should probably stop reading this blog. You’ve got a B-Cycle to catch, so go find it!
