Walking through her door is somewhat like walking into a time machine, not only for the sake of being surrounded by thousands of vintage items, but because it is inevitable that you will wonder where hours of your time went when you can finally pull yourself out of the shop! Everywhere you look there is an eclectic mix of stuff just begging for you to take it home! The shop is arranged into fun displays in seemingly endless rooms on multiple levels.   In honor of Valentine’s Day, I am featuring MY love as today’s Face of Boulder! Meet my husband David, everyone! (how great is that beard?!) This loving, hardworking (and handsome, if I do say so myself) husband and father moved to Colorado a year and a half ago. David was born in New York and moved to Florida when he was 12. After far too many years enduring the humidity, he was ready for a change so he packed up and moved to Lafayette, sight unseen! David has been working in the electrical trade since he graduated high school and continues here as a foreman for a Denver based contractor.... Read More

“Bark, bark, grrrrr, bark!” That is Jazmin’s way of saying, “hello!” On another amazing, sunny Boulder County day, I ran into Jazmin and her people, Vicki and Tanya, taking a stroll along beautiful Coal Creek Trail.  They were out trying to wear Jazmin out a little bit! She is a Golden Retriever – Husky mix and loving this weather, just check out the smile on her furry face! Meet Ella, Paul and Clara! On the most amazing sunny Colorado day, I met Paul as he pushed two of his four kids on the swings at one of Boulder County’s beautiful parks. As are most of the residents here, Paul was super friendly and chatted openly as he played with his sweet girls. Paul and his wife moved from Oregon 18 years ago after college and have since made a home and are raising their family in Lafayette where they homeschool their children ages six, seven, ten and thirteen. They love the community here and enjoy visiting the museums, hiking and sledding together as a family. Paul works... Read More

Some people have the gift of putting everybody around them at ease and Z, with his easy drawl and friendly smile, is most definitely one of those people. Z is a self proclaimed “open book” and the conversation flowed effortlessly outside a coffee shop in small-town Lafayette on a crisp, clear, sunshiny day. Originally from Oklahoma, Z moved to Boulder County 10 years ago. As a kid, he spent time in Colorado each year on vacation and the draw of our great state eventually led he and his wife back here to make a home. They currently live in Lafayette where Z opened Curating the Cool a few years... Read More
