Rare River Otter Frolicking in Boulder River Caught on Tape

Otters are considered to be a threatened species in Colorado as they’ve made a slow comeback from poachers hunting them for their fur in the 19th and 20th centuries. Even many years later, seeing an otter in the river is rare; the Boulder County public space only reports about two dozen sightings a year. Last night, public space staff member saw an otter frolicking in the banks of the St. Vrain river. Read More
