Faces of Boulder – Pic of the Day!

  Meet Silka! She goes to college in North Carolina but for the summer has traded her beach hammock for one in the mountains. Silka came down to visit Boulder and, despite some rain, spent the day exploring the Flatirons. The scenery here is a bit different from the beaches of the East Coast, and while talking to her, she couldn’t stop saying what an amazing place we have right in our backyards. After a while of hiking she set up a hammock over a small stream to listen to the water and just take everything in.   Meet Daniel! He is a certified climbing guide and true adventurer! Daniel spends most of his time on the rock and has got many of his friends into climbing. Spending time with Daniel and driving through Boulder Canyon is pretty impressive. Going up the road he points out all the climbing spots and knows them by name and has climbed a good amount of them! There isn’t much he doesn’t want to do or at least try. Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Everest are on his list of future climbs, and he is hoping to start white water kayaking soon!  Read More
