Laying the Foundation

March 8th, 2019

If you grew up in the 90’s and have never played out even a single moment of your life to Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” lyrics, I’m going to question the inner workings of your childhood. It was (or is) a rite of passage, and aside from starring in every one of my basketball warm-up mix tapes from the year it was released in 2002 until I graduated college in 2006, I can still hear the words playing in my ears through a variety of noteworthy life experiences. Spoiler alert. I’m from Basalt, Colorado. Not to be confused with 8 Mile. But, here, while cruising up Kensho chair in Breckenridge... Read More

Speak Your Truth – Never Settle, Stay True to Yourself, and Thrive

September 14th, 2018

Since I moved into my Airstream, I hang out daily at Whole Foods (eating the salad bar and borrowing precious Wi-Fi). As a self-proclaimed blogger (I don’t know how many blogs it takes to clearly own that title), I like to spend most of the time writing. I find that it’s ironically easy for me to focus amongst the lunch crowd chaos. Today, I painfully watched a couple with two kids absolutely annihilate one another with their words. In public. Triathletes love Boulder, compression socks, and this new blog.

September 22nd, 2014

Boulder has a reputation for being a very healthy, active, and outdoorsy place. I was recently on Tinder and just about every girl on there had some sort of picture of themselves hiking, snowboarding, or finishing the Bolder Boulder on their profile. Their favorite places to shop include the bike shop, Whole Foods, and REI. It makes sense when you think about it, just look at the flatirons. I like to call it the health trap. Stay in Boulder long enough and eventually you will pick up an outdoorsy hobby. This hobby will introduce you to people who are healthy eaters. These health nuts will consciously... Read More

Rush Bowls: Healthy On The Go!

September 20th, 2014

More and more it seems that Boulder is at the forefront of innovation and business, particularly in the food industry. With the likes of Justin’s Peanut Butter, Horizon’s Milk, and Udi’s Gluten-Free, Boulder has sparked something of a natural food’s revolution. Joining that pack is Boulder favorite, Rush Bowls! The Hill staple is no longer just a place for sorority girls to get their post-yoga smoothies or for students to grab a bowl between classes. Since opening 10 years ago, Rush Bowls’ popularity has allowed them to package grab-n-go bowls available in stores across... Read More
