1. Whiskey Warm-up at George Hix Riverside Plaza in Estes

With the chill of winter finally lifting, come celebrate spring with Colorado whiskeys. This event features shopping with local cigar shops and whiskey vendors, tutorials on whiskey preparation from Elkin’s Distilling, and more! Tickets include unlimited samples, a souvenir tasting glass, live seminars, and live music.

2. Touch-A-Truck Weekend at Norris-Penrose Indoor Event Center

5 pm to 7 pm

This year marks the tenth anniversary of this event for any and all truck lovers, including kids and those with sensory processing sensitivity. This events puts trucks of all kind, including work trucks, in a safe environment to explore and press buttons.

3. Monte Vista Crane Festival at Ski Hi Complex

7 am to 9 pm

Every March festival-goers line up to see cranes, ducks, and geese migrate towards the Rocky Mountains. Activities include photography workshops, sandhill crane tours, guest speakers and guided visits to local parks and canyons.

4. Goat Yoga at Orchard Town Center

Goat yoga has been popular in Colorado for a while now, but if you haven’t experience it yet, now’s a good time to start! This event includes a 45 minute goat yoga lesson and ends with a 15 min decompression for our guests & goats. The guests can pet the goats, hold the goats and just spend time loving the gift of these cute and innocent animals.

5. FREE Day at the Denver Art Museum

The first Saturday of every month includes free activities around the Denver area, including the art museum, the zoo, and the nature and science museum. The Denver Art Museum currently has exhibits including “The Light Show,” “Treasures of British Art: The Berger Collection,” “Shantell Martin: Words and Lines,” “Eyes On: Anthony McCall” and “Phantom Canyon: A Digital Circuit” all for free!

Kaylee was raised (but not *technically* born) in Colorado. She graduated from Regis University with a bachelor of arts in English. During her time at Regis she worked as a teaching assistant in a freshman classroom setting and in the writing center helping students on a variety of topics. While there, she discovered Cura Personalis, or care for the entire person, leading to her love of feminism and desire for equal rights for all. Kaylee is the managing editor for AboutBoulder, OnDenver, and a key member of the OnMetro team, launching this platform in cities across the United States.
