Throw back some brews and get pumped up for the big fight this Saturday night! We all know what I’m talking about – Conor McGregor v.s. Floyd Mayweather. It’s a boxing match for the ages that we’re all anxiously awaiting to see.

Who will win? Mayweather, the undefeated longtime pro-boxer, or McGregor, the Irish charmer/MMA master? I guess we’ll have to wait and see; but where is a fan to watch the Mayweather/McGregor showdown in Boulder?

Well, after spending tedious amounts of time calling the most prominent bars in Boulder, I realized the hard way, that watching boxing fights is just not that popular in Boulder. The only saving grace was Harpo’s Sports Grill. Luckily Harpo’s sticks true to the “sports” on its signage, as the sole bar in town premiering the fight. They proudly claim their restaurant to be “where the real sports people go,” and they seem to live up to their name.

This Saturday at Harpo’s you will be able to view the fight on 27 different HD TVs, all while enjoying some artisan crafted ales. Harpo’s extensive tap features both domestic and local beers, serving ales from some of our local favorites –Upslope Brewing Company, Avery Brewing, and Boulder Beer. After speaking with Harpo’s employee, Katie, it sounds like it’s going to be a packed event, and they encourage viewers to arrive at 5pm for Mayweather vs. McGregor. The $30 entrance fee is a small price to pay for one of the most anticipated events on television. So let’s get amped, have a great weekend, enjoy some friendly competition, and suck down some of Boulder’s favorite brews.

Fresh to Boulder, Bronwen made the trek from the East Coast this past June. The decision to move westward came to her after exploring our magnificent country for two wonderful months on the road. Before moving to CO, Bronwen attended Roger Williams University, where she jumped at the chance to study abroad in Perugia, Italy for 4 months at the Umbra Institute. Her passion for the world didn’t begin there, but when she caught the travel bug on her first trip to Italy while attending Kent School. Now, she’s loving her new life in Boulder! Since the big move, she’s been taking advantage of every second of sunshine our beautiful city has to offer. Whether it’s pushing her limits on a hike or practicing yoga in her backyard, she thrives in the outdoors. Aside from traveling and enjoying nature, Bronwen is a huge movie buff, especially when it comes to LOTR and Batman. You can always find her photographing and writing about her adventures!
