New Years Weekend

It’s the last night of 2015! As the year sloughs off, anticipation shudders through the city. A milieu of parties throughout Boulder prepare to ring in the New Year. The night is brimming with potential with something happening at almost every bar. Here are a few suggestions if you are looking for someplace to celebrate.
The trappings of Boardwalk empire come alive at West End Tavern’s New Years Eve Roaring 20’s Bash on Thursday, Dec 31, 2015. The evening of revelry will begin at 8 pm and go to Midnight. This evening does require a reservation so make sure to get yours!
Tonight the Walrus Saloon is having $15 bottles of champagne and DJ’s playing all night long. Enjoy some bubbly in this cozy local setting.
Next Door will be greeting the New Year, through an all day celebration with food and drink specials running all day. Their fine dining experience will be featuring DJ Cymatic and will have a champagne toast at midnight.
Boulder Museum of Contemporary Arts’ is having a New Year’s Eve at the Mad Tea Party. This is a pricier evening at $75 – $95 a ticket, but does include open bar and boasts a menagerie of entertainment. They will be featuring a magician, tarot readings, psychics, a wonderland photo booth, Jabberwockies, tuneful turning tables, and the mome raths outgrabe. This event begins at 9:30.
To celebrate their 107th year anniversary of the night they first opened their doors to the local community, Hotel Boulderado is having their annual New Year’s Eve party. This Masquarde Gala is also on the pricey side. Tickets range from $70 – $309, Overnight Package $309/couple & up. Dine & Dance $155/person & up. Gala Dance Party $70/person. It will feature performances by Dressed in Black and Milestone.

To nurse the residual effects of the celebratory evening, The West End Tavern will be having their annual chili cook off. Chef Greg, Chef Julio and Chef Hector put their chili making skills to the test and you get to vote on which chili you like best. Food and drink specials will be running all day.
If Bloody Marys and breakfast sandwiches sound more your style, Next door Boulder is having $5 Bloody Mary Specials all day.
If you catch your second wind, Saturday, January 2nd, Global Soul Experience will be performing at the Lazy Dog at 10:00 pm. See a local favorite and dance.
